AREX 2434 "PACIFIC PLATEAU"

Former AMTRAK 2434, former UP 2434; Budd built in 1950 as 10 & 6 sleeper.
Car is fully AMTRAK compatible and is 98% complete.     ABDW brakes.
Based on initial teardown inspection, this car has virtually NO sidesill cracking!

Car is currently being shopped; major work being done includes:

• Full sill inspection and repairs as necessary
• Install 50KW genset, controls, fuel tank
• Truck rebuild / re-wheel / PC2
• Remove hoppers from roomettes
• Replace hoppers in bedrooms with retention toilets
• Replace roomettes 9 and 10 (B-end) with two general toilets
  (one ladies', one men's) with retention
• Replace porter's quarters with general shower
